Shakira to record Arabic LP?

Shakira has revealed that she would like to record an album of Arabic-language songs.
Recording a full-length LP in Arabic would prove to be a "challenge" because she doesn't speak the language, but the 'Hips Don't Lie' singer told reporters ahead of her gig at Morocco's Mawazine World Rhythms concert series that she is intrigued by the opportunity to appeal to a whole new fanbase.
"It would be a challenge to do an album in Arabic. I would first have to learn Arabic," the Colombian musician, who has scored eight US top 40 singles, claimed.
"I am completely open to that experience… At some point I would love that to happen in my life."
The musician joked that although she descends from Syrian ancestry, a request for a kiss - "ateeni boosa" - is the only Arabic phrase that she knows.
Her current world tour stops in Spanish cities Valencia on Monday and Almeria on Wednesday, before moving on to Madrid and Bilbao later in the week.
Shakira recently signed on to sing in the upcoming Bollywood film Azaan.
